Snohomish is a city located just 30 miles from Seattle, situated at the union of the Snohomish and Pilchuck Rivers. The city was officially incorporated in 1890, and the city's economy was primarily based on the timber industry. Over the years, the city has grown and developed into a center of commerce. Today, it is known for its vibrant community, riverfront shops, highly regarded schools, and rich cultural heritage.

Andy’s Fish House prides itself on fresh, locally caught seafood. Their menu is broad, featuring everything from fish tacos to whole Dungeness crabs. Roger’s River View Bistro is a great spot for a romantic dinner or a special occasion, serving farm-to-table dishes in a cozy, intimate atmosphere with a beautiful view of the Snohomish River.

Kla Ha Ya Days Festival has been running for over 100 years and celebrates the strong community of Snohomish. Events include a bustling carnival, lively parade, and watermelon eating contest. This summertime celebration is a true testament to the spirit of this community. The Snohomish Farmers Market is another place where residents of this city come together. There is often live music drifting over the vendor stands, and the smell of fresh-made food and seasonal local produce is mouthwatering, making it a weekly event that can’t be missed. 
 
When it comes to recreation, Snohomish Valley Golf Center is a popular spot featuring an 18-hole mini golf course, a large driving range, and plenty of great eats from Valley Grill. Snohomish Aquatic Center is another excellent spot for families and fitness enthusiasts. The aquatic center has it all, including multiple recreational swimming pools, a lap pool, a surf-simulator, and a diving well. The center also provides many classes and programs for adults and children alike, including swimming lessons and water aerobics.
 
With nine parks and nearly 200 acres of green space, Snohomish residents can easily take in the natural beauty of the area. Centennial Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails in Snohomish. Spanning over 30 miles between Snohomish and the Skagit County line, this well-maintained, fully paved trail is used for casual hiking, biking, and even horseback riding alongside. For those who want to do more than wander, Willis D. Tucker Community Park consists of 84 acres of green space. Dogs can play off-leash, children can play at the splash pad or the state-of-the-art playground, and music enthusiasts can enjoy live music in the amphitheater during its summer music series.
